Mac plist File Editing

DON'T FORGET TO BACK UP!!!

Cave Story can be easily hacked if you are on a Mac, you just have do change a few numbers in your save file. First of all you need to find the plist file, Your Home Folder>Library>Preferences then just scroll down until you find com.nakiwo.Doukutsu.plist. If you can't find this file do a search for it but make sure you include system files in the search.

Once you have opened the file with a plist file editor such as Property List Editor (which is part of the Mac developer toolkit) you can get started!

Now go to the third set of numbers as you can see in the picture.

This number is the place where you are in the game, such as 00000001 is Arthur's House.

The 8th and 9th set of numbers is your health, to make your health go as high as it can just put in 2999999f in the 8th and 9th column.

To change the weapons you have just go to the 15th column and onwards (but don't go to far on because you don't wan't to mess up your save). You can give your self whatever weapon you want by changing these numbers such as 0000000d is the Spur. The number in the column after the weapon number is the level of the weapon. The number in the column after that is the amount of ammo the weapon has (ammo can be infinite if you set the number to 00000000)

To change the items you have go to the around the 70th set of numbers, 0000000f is a life pot.

Note: if you are stuck in a block somewhere change collums 5 and 6. If you make collum 5 a lower number you start further left, higher number further right. Make collum 6 a higher number you start lower if you make it a lower number you start higher.
